About me

Sylvia Arbelaez is a South Florida–based photographer and creative director whose work blends artistry and precision. Through her studio, Photography by Sylvia, she has captured weddings, portraits, and commercial projects for clients including Nordstrom Rack’s HauteLook, TYCO International, Dillard’s, and Parklander Life Publications. Her work has been featured on multiple magazine covers, including Incisal Edge and Life and the Single Parent®, and showcased in juried exhibitions and charitable organizations such as 4Kids of South Florida and Flashes of Hope.

She holds a B.A. from Barry University and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Palomar College. Fluent in English and Spanish, Sylvia is certified in Adobe Photoshop and passionate about storytelling through visual design and photography.

Inspired by a shared creative vision, Sylvia joined her daughter Olivia to create Two Roots — an artisan and photography storefront where art, craft, and community meet. Together, they curate handmade goods and fine art prints that celebrate connection, creativity, and the beauty of slowing down to appreciate life’s details.
